About Us
The Inter-cultural Spouses Association (ISA) was founded by foreign women with Korean husbands with the purpose of providing a support network to foreign spouses of Koreans who are either living in Korea or abroad. It is envisioned that through ISA, living in Korea will become much easier. (See draft of concept paper).

History
ISA was an offshoot of a colloquium sponsored by the Korea Unesco Cultural Exchange Services (KUCES) in November 1999 which was participated in by 10 foreign women.,br>
In that colloquium, these women talked for the first time ever how is it to have a Korean husband. As expected, inter-racial marriages is not a bed or roses, and it thus underscored the need for these women to form a support network to help and empower themselves. (See related article on the Dialogue, click Publications, and read "Life after Marrying a Korean Man".)
